Last month, I joined a LinkedIn Live presentation to find out what questions job seekers are asking, listen to their concerns and check-in to make sure my clients succeed with every strategy needed in 2024.

To my surprise, there were more than 6,500+ people listening live and countless more who watched the replay. To my delight, my coaching techniques, job search advice and networking know-how are all on target. However, I did learn more about LinkedIn premium features which are simply not in the budget for all job seekers. It’s a nice tool to have, but if you’re actively engaging, growing, and connecting with your network and extended network – you DON’T need premium.

Engage with people you trust to ask for their guidance. Sometimes you don’t see what others see in you.  And when you reach out to key contacts, ask for a recommendation via LinkedIn. These valuable assets can be turned into a pdf and attached to applications, emails and more.

Focus on Interviewing Techniques

Boost your confidence, refine your communication skills, and learn to articulate your achievements effectively by telling a story and showing the hiring manager how you fit into the team/organization. Remember to refrain from listing everything you’ve ever done. Instead, use key illustrations and anecdotes to convey your worth.
